Takelma and his half-sister Rogue came to Wildlife Images in 2017 at just 12-weeks-old. The pair are high content wolf-dog hybrids. This means they look and act much more like wolves than domestic dogs.

True to his wolf heritage – Takelma is a shy guy.  He is usually the last in the pack to check something new out and can often be seen peeking around a tree at new visitors. Despite his hesitation, Takelma is smart, trains well, and often initiates a behavior before it’s requested. Takelma’s black coat may make him look similar to Argo, but his higher content breeding is apparent in the snout, ears, and tail.
