Announcing Homeschool and Wolf Pack programs

As the fall semester opens for schools, Wildlife Images is busy expanding its educational programming to offer more for students who want to learn more about wildlife and its impact on the world around us.

We are excited to announce our Homeschool Workshops, which is aimed at students 6-11 years old, which will be a twice-a-week course focusing on specific wildlife each day.

Our other addition to our educational repertoire is our Wolf Pack program. This program will focus on 12-17-year-olds who have aged out of Camp EEK! and want a more hands-on experience with wildlife.

Homeschool Workshops

The Homeschool Program provides local homeschooling families the unique opportunity to bring their students to a workshop in our Education Yurt on campus. Each workshop will include a science-based lesson focusing on Common Core & NGSS Standards as well as STEAM based learning opportunities.

Homeschool Workshops run with weekly themes and families have the flexibility to choose whichever two-day option works best for them.

Wolf Pack

The Wolf Pack Program provides local teens the unique opportunity to grow and share their knowledge of wildlife. Each Pack session will include a lesson and STEAM based learning opportunities as well as a chance to get hands-on experience in a variety of animal care areas, including animal husbandry, training, diets, handling, and more! Pack members will work alongside experienced staff and volunteers to learn about our resident animal ambassadors and will assist in interpreting and presenting this knowledge to the public. Wolf Pack members may also play an integral role in our Camp EEK! program, assisting in the classroom by leading activities, playing games, and helping campers with crafts and lessons.

This program is particularly applicable and beneficial to area youth who are interested in pursuing a career with animals, as they will gain valuable knowledge and experience as a Wolf Pack member. For those on the older end of the age range, this program allows to get more training and a broader opportunity to get involved at Wildlife Images.
