Our hearts go out to the brave people of Ukraine and especially to those who have stayed behind to care for the animals at the zoos and other facilities like ours. We look at the animals we love and care for and our hearts break for the people and animals of Ukraine. Stories have surfaced about the efforts to save the animals in zoos, like this one from the Kyiv Zoo.

Funds raised will be used to assist Ukrainian zoos to continue to provide food and care to animals in conditions of relative welfare and safety, as well as providing support for care staff and management at the zoos.
The link goes through the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, which oversees more than 300 facilities in 41 countries.
