It’s Pikeminnow Roundup Time!

Go Fishing, Feed Wildlife, Protect the Environment, & Win Prizes… What could be better?!  We are happy to partner with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife once again for this program that will help protect native fish in the Rogue River, like our beloved salmon. Umpqua pikeminnow were illegally introduced into the Rogue River in 1978 near Wolf Creek. Since then, the species has made it hard for native fish to thrive.

You can enjoy the great outdoors, help the animals at Wildlife Images and win some awesome prizes during the Rogue Pikeminnow Roundup!

From August 1 – September 2 you can enter your pikeminnow catches into a contest to win great prizes from Blackbird Shopping Center, Sportman’s Warehouse, a guided fishing trip and much more!

Plus, fresh and frozen pikeminnow can be brought to Wildlife Images every Sunday until September 5th. Volunteers will be on hand to weigh and collect fish from 11:00 – 4:00.

The fish collected will be fed to the bears, otters, and wading birds who call Wildlife Images home!

Four Great Ways to WIN!

  1. Random Drawing – Photo submission
  2.  Longest 5 Fish Bag –  In person submission
  3. Largest by Length Pikeminnow Caught – Photo submission
  4. Most Pounds Caught – Weighed at Wildlife Images or Riverside Park Check Station
