North Valley High students receive outreach for fundraising effort

North Valley High students recently raised more than $2,000 to help support Wildlife Images. Each third-period class raised money to adopt oneĀ of our Animal Ambassadors.

For the classes that raised at least $250 to reach the top adoption level, they were rewarded with an outreach to the school. We sent two of our Animal Ambassadors out to greet some well-deserving students earlier this week.

Aurora, our Turkey Vulture, came out first with volunteer Cheryl and helped show why vultures are such a key part of the local ecosystem.

Kokoro, one of our Eurasian Eagle Owls, followed with staff member Jamie, explaining why these birds ā€” and owls in general ā€” are so helpful in their environment.

The winning overall class, a group of freshmen taught by Mr. Klumpp, had the opportunity to come out and see an enrichment activity with their adopted animal. Mr. Klumpp’s class adopted fan-favorite Yak. She is a 30-year-old Alaskan Brown Bear that was orphaned as a cub and has spent nearly her entire life at Wildlife Images.

We want to thank North Valley High School for all of their hard work and generosity in helping us in our effort to Save Wildlife.
