At this time the center’s clinic is still accepting patients. Members of the public who have a wildlife patient needing care should call 541-441-7193 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
If staff is not available to immediately assist you and you are ready to drop off a patient – please fill out the white Wildlife Patient Intake Form available at the front gate. Then leave the animal securely contained outside the gate.
Wild animals should not be transferred from one holding container to another if at all possible. If you have a question about the behavior or health of a wild animal, please contact our team by emailing wildpatientupdates@wildlifeimages.org.
Dave Siddon gives us a look at the work that goes on inside the park with a limited staff and lots of patients and Animal Ambassadors to take care of!
Due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the COVID 19 outbreak, Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Education Center will close public admissions, effective immediately. Over the last week the non-profit has taken significant measures to remain open so families had a place to go during the social distancing mandates from Governor Kate Brown. Additional measures, recently released from the State of Oregon to control the spread of the coronavirus, leave the park with little option but to close to the public until further notice.
Despite the closure of admissions, Wildlife Images is pleased to announce it will still serve its mission in multiple ways. At this time the center’s clinic is still accepting patients. The Animal Care team will remain onsite to care for the 100+ resident Animal Ambassadors and the patients in the clinic. This will be done in a way to maintain a 6+ foot distance whenever possible. When work involves multiple people, as in the treatment of an eagle, team members will wear masks. The Education team will be shifting focus to provide virtual experiences, encounters, and resources for families who are sheltering in place.
Like so many other community businesses, organizations, and families, Wildlife Images is feeling the financial impact from this new way of life. Wildlife Images will no longer host this year’s fundraiser on Mother’s Day. The facility lost a considerable amount of revenue because of canceled field trips and from a lack of admission sales during the start of the tourism season. Those wishing to support Wildlife Images during this time can learn more about making a donation or becoming a member on our website at www.wildlifeimages.org.
