In this episode Dave spends time with Buddy, a female great horned owl. This time of year owls begin to nest. Right now owls are looking for the perfect spot to build a nest. It might seem early but owls do this so when their chicks are born they can take advantage of all the small animals creeping out of their burrows in the early spring. This ensures owls have enough food for their very hungry chicks.
