In November, the Wildlife Images Board of Directors voted to add two new members.
Please help us welcome Caroline Brooks and Billy Crawford!
Neither are new to Wildlife Images, and their passion for our mission of Saving Wildlife is apparent in what in they do.
Caroline first visited Wildlife Images in the early 1990s while visiting friends and immediately started supporting the animals at WI. Caroline, and her husband, Bob, moved to Grants Pass from Los Angeles 18 years ago. I love being so much closer to nature and look forward to helping Wildlife Images. She also volunteers with the Josephine Community Library and is a member of the Asante Foundation Board.
After retiring as an administrator at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Billy and his wife Cheryl moved to Ashland. Shortly thereafter they started volunteering at Wildlife Images. Billy mainly volunteers in the wildlife clinic and with birds of prey but helps with mammals and reptiles. Joining the Wildlife Images Board or Directors in Nov. 2021, he is a member of the Zoological Association of America (ZAA) and the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (IWRC). He also volunteers with the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy, the Ashland Community Hospital Foundation, and is a past board member of Rogue Valley Mentoring.
We also want to give a well-deserved thank you to outgoing board member Dr. Russ Leavitt. A retired ophthalmologist, Dr. Leavitt served on the board from 2015 until he stepped down at the end of December.
He served as a liaison between the staff and the rest of the board while also handling a great deal of inter-personal relations with our donors. He was immensely valuable and will be missed. We wish him nothing but the best as he enters a new stage in his life.
