Orphaned as an egg in a brush fire and hatched in his rescuer’s home, Niles was cared for at a local rehab center, but became too imprinted on humans to be released. He was transferred to us from a center in Anchorage, Alaska.

He can be distinguished from Daphne by his distinct widow’s peak and white cheeks. In the summer, he can be seen doing his courting dance where he flaps his wings and jumps up and down, then picks up sticks and leaves to offer either Daphne or animal care staff and volunteers.
