Salt (partial-stripe) and Pepper (full-stripe) arrived at Wildlife Images when they
were seven months old. The twin skunks had been illegally held by a member of the
public since they were babies. Like many people, she was unaware that keeping wild
animals as pets is against the law. Fortunately when the finder called to find a new
home for them, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife transferred them to
Wildlife Images and allowed them to stay as ambassador animals. These girls help us
teach the public about skunks and about how important it is to save wildlife by
allowing them to stay wild.
