At Wildlife Images, we offer an unparalleled opportunity to connect with nature through personal encounters with our Wildlife Ambassadors. These unique experiences bring you face-to-face with some of the most fascinating creatures, offering insights into their lives, behaviors, and the conservation efforts that protect them.

Please note, Ambassador Encounters must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance.
Regular admission much be purchased seperately.
Encounters are currently only available Friday-Sunday.

Per Person
  • A roughly 30 minute encounter where we have guests come into our wallaby enclosure to meet and feed the wallabies.
  • The guests will meet outside the wallaby enclosure gate, where the guide will provide instructions how to properly feed and interact with our wallabies.
  • Each person will be given a small cup of food for this encounter
  • As guests are in the enclosure, the guide will teach them about our individuals and facts about wallabies, while also keeping an eye on the guests.
  • Guests will have the chance to interact with the cavy’s
  • Group size should be 10-15 individuals. With an age limit of 5 and up.
  • This encounter can be offered weather permitting
  • Guests can touch the animals if they approach them and allow it, no one can chase them

    • Meet-and-Greet with our keepers and learn about our resident brown bear, Yak or Gilbert.
    • Fed Yak over the fence.
    • Gilbert BTS training.
    • 8 people max.
    • There is no touching of the bears.

    • A roughly 30 minute walk with one of our wolf dog hybrids around the zoo.
    • Guests will meet by Aggie and Shadow’s enclosure to begin the encounter.
    • During this two guides will talk about the wolf being walked as well as how wolves help the ecosystems and threats that they face today.
    • At the end, the guests will be able to have a photo opportunity with the wolf.
    • Group size 10 people. With an age limit of 6 and up.
    • Guests can touch Aggie on her back if she comes up to them.

    • A roughly 15 minute encounter where guests will be able to interact with our skunks Salt and Pepper in the pavilion.
    • Guests will meet by the pavilion doors to begin the encounter.
    • Guests will be seated and given instructions by the keeper on how to properly interact and handle the animals.
    • During this a keeper will talk about Salt and Pepper’s backstory and species.
    • Guests can touch their backs only.

    • A roughly 20 minute encounter where guests will be able to interact with our reptiles in the pavilion.
    • Guests will meet by the pavilion doors to begin the encounter.
    • Guests will be seated and given instructions by the keeper on how to properly interact and handle the animals.
    • During this encounter, a guide will bring out four of our reptile ambassadors. The guests will be able to interact with them and feed them if possible.
    • Smeagol the Sulcata or Agave the Desert Tort should be the animal used to close the show.
    • Group size 10–15 people. With an age limit of 12 and up.
    • Guests will be able to touch the reptiles on their backs.

    Per Person
    • 30 minute encounter where guests can meet 2–3 of our gloved birds (not including eagles) on the glove and have the opportunity to take a photo with each bird on the glove with the handler.
    • Guests will learn about the natural history of the bird and how the bird was placed at the Wildlife Images and the relationship with the handler.
    • Guests will meet in the pavilion and learn about the rules and be seated for the meet and greet in the pavilion. Bird will be brought into the pavilion.
    • Guests will not be able to touch any of the birds.

    • Meet our North American River Otters Luke and mitch, and learn about their natural history and the story of why they came to Wildlife Images.
    • Groups max size of 6.
    • Get to feed Luke and Mitch their diets with forceps and watch some of their behaviors and why we use these behaviors in their daily care.
    • No touching of the animal besides feeding with forceps.
    • Ages 12 and up.
