Meet Phantom & Fury the Bald Eagles
Meet Phantom and Fury, the bald eagles named in honor of Sergeant Marty Gonzalez and everyone who served in the second battle of Fallujah,...
I’ve reached a point in my relationship with Walter, our American Crow, that I can start thinking about training him. This charcuterie board filled with all kinds of different treats gives me an idea on what kinds of food Walter likes the most, or what his high reinforcers are.
When I start to train and ask him for specific behaviors, I can reward him with his favorite foods! Not only does this keep our relationship strong, but he is more likely to continue the behaviors when he’s getting the things he loves most.
The charcuterie board was filled with several things, such as a variety of fruits (which Walter did not touch), three types of nuts, corn, cat treats, dry and soaked cat kibble, fish, chicken, beef, hard-boiled egg, and then insects including mealworms, beetles, a silkworm and a superworm.
Walter’s favorites ended up being mealworms, beetles, hard-boiled egg, all of the meats, and the nuts!
