Wildlife Images

Who We Are

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center is a non-profit conservation organization with two operations: Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility and a Zoo. We work to integrate wildlife health and care with education to develop our conservation strategy.

Our Mission

Wildlife Images is committed to Saving Wildlife.

Our Vision

Wildlife Images seeks to create an environment in Southern Oregon that fosters a love and respect for wildlife through education and rehabilitation.

Our Logo

We currently feature two logos. Both of them highlight a Grizzly Bear named Griz, who became one of the featured attractions at Wildlife Images. While we are no longer allowed to rehabilitate bears, they remain a critical element of our conservation message. Bears represent keystone species and have been a vital part of our organization for more than 30 years. They are a critical element of our conservation message.

On the vertical logo, the man walking with Griz is our founder J. David Siddon, who started Wildlife Images more than 40 years ago. J. David Siddon was a Wildlife Filmmaker and photographer who sparked a love of wildlife in everyone he met.

Previous logos

Wildlife Images has had a handful of logos throughout the years. The logos from the first 20 years each featured an eagle, which showed our dedication to rehabilitating raptors. That dedication remains to this day, and raptors are a major focus of both the rehabilitation clinic and the zoo.

Our Name

Our organization's name, Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center, comes from J. David Siddon's history as a wildlife photographer and filmmaker.

The funding from his pictures created the ability for Wildlife Images to get its start in 1981 as a non-profit. While our animals are no longer in movies, we still help connect people through wildlife through the occasional documentary. Our name reminds us of our mission to pivot from media work to rehabilitation and education more than forty years ago and highlights our dedication to animal welfare.

The zoological portion of our park makes our rehabilitation work and partnerships with other education and conservationists possible. In turn, our partnerships around the world helps demonstrate the importance and impact of our mission of Saving Wildlife, and provides impact through the stories we are able to share with our guests that visit our park. We hope that both our conservation and education work empowers action on the behalf of all wildlife, near and far.

Our Values

Involve

Create a welcome environment that encourages the public to share in our mission to Save Wildlife.

Educate

Help the next generation learn the benefits of caring for wildlife and the environment entrusted to our care.

Inspire

In everything we do at Wildlife Images, we are aspiring to help others make positive changes and improve the world for wildlife.

Our Work

Rehabilitation

  • We rehabilitate native wildlife from Josephine, Jackson, and Curry counties. We help save more than 1,000 animals every year through direct rehabilitation and through our wildlife helpline.
  •  Wildlife Images takes in wildlife at no cost to the general public, we rely on grants, donations, and ticket sales to fund our entire rehabilitation facility. Consider a donation today!

Building Connections Between People and Nature

  • Conservation begins with people. Since 1981, we have built a network with people and organizations focused on bringing people and wildlife together.
  • That connection between wildlife and humans is critical preserving a world in which animals and people can thrive together.
  • When these connections are made, the empathy that results helps cultivate a desire to preserve nature and wildlife, sparking actions improve the world for the future.

Our Partners

We work with organizations locally, nationally and around the world to continue our conservation goals.

Ranging from government, non-profit, private and academic organizations, these groups share in our mission to Save Wildlife, one patient at a time.

These alliances help us to make a difference throughout Southern Oregon, while also spreading our message across the world.

Some of these organizations include: The US Fish and Wildlife National Forensics Laboratory, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Zoological Association of America, the US Department of Agriculture, Wildlife Safari and many more.
